Art is a big part of my life, and as my photography improved I started to see the potential for other artists to work from my images.
From following talented wildlife artists on Instagram, I began to follow suit and try my hand in painting wildlife from my own archive, noticing what a big market there was for good quality reference photos.
No matter how saturated the industry is, no two images are ever the same, which is great for people who are searching for that specific subject or pose to add to their creation. It also enables many who can't travel to a place themselves (especially this year!) to work from an authentic experience of which they know the original photographer, and when/where the image was shot. I personally much prefer to have a personal connection with what I'm painting - rather than working from generic stock photography sites - and so this is a great way to be able to talk about your work in more depth, as well as supporting other small business owners.
As a result, I have curated a small collection of wildlife images that you can now purchase for download.
I have selected these images based on their strong composition, flattering lighting and how you can see the best of the animal's detail in form and clarity. This collection has been edited by an artist, with artist's needs in mind. This means everything from fur tone, to shadow enhancement and highlighting is edited as naturally and realistically as possible - maximizing detail whilst creating cohesive tones and a flattering subject for your work.
Many of the beautiful animals featured in my wildlife gallery can be found on the site for art licensing, so if there is one in particular that has stirred your imagination, check out the link below:
I regularly update my shop with new animals and images so I recommend saving this link as a bookmark and checking back when you can. Alternatively, follow me on Instagram and you can see any new faces that pop up there.
Thanks for your support!
